Pictures of Edwards Family Members
John Edwards was our great grandfather. He was born in Michigan in 1848 and served in the Civil War. After the war, he married Sarah Provoast, and they eventually moved to Crawford County, Iowa.
John and Adelia Edwards
After Sarah's death in 1912, John married a woman named Adelia Bybee in 1913. They are shown here in a photo that must have been taken in the 1929-1931 range. (This photo is courtesy of Jennifer Wood.)
Four Generations of the Edwards Family
From the left: Cecil Edwards, John Edwards, Normand Edwards (baby), Wallace Edwards. The picture was probably taken in Dow City, Iowa, in 1930. Normand was born in 1929, and John Edwards died in 1931.
Wallace and Rose Edwards
This picture of Wallace and Rose Edwards was probably taken around 1893, the year they got married. The original photo was damaged, but it has been beautifully restored by a restoration artist.
Wallace and Rose Edwards
This photo was taken in the late 1930s or early 1940s. The location is either Dow City or Arion, Iowa.
Children of John Edwards Jr.
Although I don't have a photo of Wallace's brother, John Edwards Jr., I do have a photo of his four children. From the left are: Alma, Alfred, Elias, and May Edwards. (This photo is courtesy of Jennifer Wood.)
This is a photo of Alfred Leroy Edwards taken in later years. (This photo is courtesy of Jennifer Wood.)
Rose Edwards and Her Children in 1951
In 1951, our family had a reunion in Holstein, Iowa, at the home of Tom and Myrtle McCollough. Pictured here are Rose Edwards, seated, and her children. From the left are: Cecil, Myrtle, Grace, Dorothy, and Don.
Rose Edwards and Her Children and Their Spouses
This is a photo of Rose Edwards and her children and their spouses. From the left are: Ralph Henry McKee, Tom McCollough, Grace McKee, Yvonne Edwards, Cecil Edwards, Myrtle McCollough, Myrtle Edwards, Dorothy Wilson, and Donald Edwards. Dorothy's husband, Joseph Wilson, is not in the picture.
Rose Edwards and Her Grandchildren in 1951
Some of the grandchildren of Rose Edwards are pictured here at the family reunion in 1951. From the left are: Dale Edwards, Dean Edwards, Sue Wilson, Sharon Wilson, and Larry Wilson.
Tom and Myrtle McCollough
This is a photo of Thomas W. McCollough and Edna Myrtle (Edwards) McCollough. I think it must have been taken in the 1930s, possibly about the time when their son Donavon graduated from high school. Tom worked for Iowa Public Service and Myrtle kept a very Victorian style house.
Cecil Edwards about 1918
This picture of Cecil Edwards in his WW I uniform was probably taken in 1918 or 1919. He was an early volunteer to join the army.
Cecil and Yvonne Edwards
Cecil Edwards met a young girl named Yvonne Bruhand while he was serving in France during WW I. They fell in love and got married after the war. This photo was taken around 1919 or 1920.
Normand Edwards in the early 1950s
This is a photo of Normand Edwards that was taken while he was in the U.S. Army in the early 1950s. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, during the Korean War.
Normand and Clarice Edwards
This is the wedding photo of Normand Francis Edwards and Clarice Gwendolyn (Hillebo) Edwards. They were married in Huxley, Iowa, on June 8, 1952.
This is a picture of Grace Edwards, taken around 1920. She married a man who also served in France during WW I. His name was Ralph Henry "Mike" McKee. Before the war, Uncle Mike worked as a telegrapher for the railroad, so he was probably in the U.S. Army signal corp.
Mike and Grace McKee
This is a photo of Ralph Henry "Mike" McKee and Grace E. (Edwards) McKee. It was probably taken in the 1920s. Uncle Mike worked as a rural mail carrier until his retirement. Grace was the mother of five children, one of whom died at the age of three.
This is a picture of four generations. Wallace and Rose Edwards are sitting down. Behind Rose is their daughter, Grace McKee. Standing to the left of Grace is her daughter, Nadine Russell. Wallace is holding Nadine's daughter, Diane.

This picture shows Rose Edwards and our father, Donald Edwards. It was taken at the home of Tom and Myrtle McCollough, in Holstein, Iowa, around the year 1954.
Donald and Myrtle (Larson) Edwards
This picture shows our parents, Donald Edwards and Myrtle (Larson) Edwards. It was taken shortly after they were married in 1939.
